Christopher McGlone

Chief Executive Officer

Christopher McGlone is the Chief Executive Officer for Metis Practice Solutions and the Chief Operating Officer for Sharp Community Medical Group (SCMG), the largest IPA in San Diego County and one of the largest in the state of California with over 130,000 managed care lives. Christopher joined Sharp Community in 1993 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the medical group, including Claims, Eligibility, Encounters, Network Management, Customer Service, Marketing & Communications, Contracts, and Business Development.

While at SCMG, Christopher successfully guided the group through tremendous growth while implementing automated processes in the areas of claims, eligibility, encounters, member services, and capitation. He was instrumental in leading SCMG to profitability via the development of innovative capitation programs for physicians and ancillary providers. He was the executive sponsor for SCMG’s electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) system implementation.

Christopher serves on the Board of Directors of “ICE”, the Healthcare Industry Collaborative Effort, and served for over ten years on the board of APG, America’s Physician Groups (previously CAPG).

Christopher received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of San Diego and has over thirty years of experience in the medical, health care, and insurance industries; and has held management positions at FHP Healthcare and Progressive Insurance.

Sarah Kramer

Chief Operating Officer

Sarah Kramer is the Chief Operating Officer at Metis Practice Solutions. Previously, Sarah worked as the Director of Operations at San Diego Internal Medicine Associates and San Diego Hospitalist Associates, Inc. She graduated with honors from the University of California San Diego with her Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in health care.

Sarah is a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on the USS Abraham Lincoln through the Global War on Terror operation. After transitioning to civilian life, she began her career in health care at Gundersen Health System in Lacrosse, WI. She eventually made her way to San Diego, CA where she worked for the Naval Medical Command and Family Health Centers of San Diego in various roles before taking the position of Clinic Director. In this role, she was responsible for the overall operations, planning, budgeting, and financial management of two clinics and over 70 employees.

Sarah brings a breadth of knowledge, a track record of success, and a keen understanding of the needs of independent physician practices. Her background and passion will allow Metis Practice Solutions to support and keep independent practices competitive and successful in an ever-challenging health care environment.

Mariann Gesino

Director of Revenue Cycle Management

Mariann Gesino has nearly two decades of medical practice revenue cycle management experience. Mariann oversees billing, coding, accounts receivable, charge capture, electronic claims submission and reconciliation, electronic remittance and payment posting, account follow-up and denial management, and accounts receivable.

She provides these services to a wide range of practice sizes and specialties including solo practitioners, small group practices with two to five physicians, and a large multi-specialty medical group.
